Pete has managed electron microscopy cores for almost 30 years, both here at JAX and at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has been at The Jackson Laboratory for over 25 years, hired as a biomedical technologist in December 1999. In 2007, he was promoted to manager of the electron microscopy service. In addition to managing the team’s scanning EM (SEM) and transmission EM (TEM) work, he also contributes to the processing, ultrathin sectioning, and staining of samples for TEM.
